Background
Ian Kemp is a fine-art photographer in Australia, with a sideline in wedding, corporate, and portrait commissions. His work sat on a Wix site that no longer did it justice. He wanted something "simple, uncluttered and elegant" that served two jobs at once: showcase his photography and sell it.
What we built
OgreLogic designed the site in Figma to Ian's brief and rebuilt it on WordPress:
- Clean, gallery-first portfolio pages that let the images carry the design.
- A dedicated sales section for his fine-art prints, plus an enquiry path for commissions.
- A blog and newsletter to keep collectors in the loop, and contact forms wired straight to his inbox.
Since launch, OgreLogic has stayed on to host, secure, and maintain the site — including restoring it from backup after a hacking attempt and moving it to faster hosting.
The result
Ian moved from a template Wix site to a polished, custom portfolio that both shows and sells his work — backed by a support relationship that has kept it online and current for years. He shared his experience in a five-star review.
I have been very happy with my experience with OgreLogic developing a new website for my photography business. The person in charge of my project was patient and kept in regular contact throughout. My new website is attractive, and I appreciate the advice around SEO.
